CURRENT SKINCARE REGIMEN

Since my trip to Seoul and Manila, I’ve probably been the most diligent about my skincare routine. After a lot of travel this year and a big K-Beauty haul from Olive Young, I’ve been trying to stick with a small but effective routine. My day-to-day is a 6 step routine that consists of some products that are fairly new (2 months in) and some products that have been consistent in my cabinet for years. My skin type is combination, I’m prone to milia so I have to avoid products that are oil based if possible. My goal with my skin this year was to reduce some dark spots and work on minimizing my pores.

After the big trips, I booked an appointment at Georgia Louise Atelier, where I went for monthly facials leading up to the wedding to try and prep my skin to be the best and glowiest it can be. I don’t introduce many products into my routine all at once and I try not to switch things up too often. I don’t have the patience for a 10-15 step routine unless I’m really going for a spa night. This has been working well for me but again, everyone’s skin is different so I highly suggest seeing an esthetician to see what may work best for your skin!

SKINCARE TOOLS & PRODUCTS

Also sharing a couple skincare products and tools that are a part of my routine as well. Some are extra and not necessary but definitely are convenient and have been a game changer when it came to my routine. These products include wrist bands so that water doesn’t drip down your arms, clean wash cloths specific for the face, and reusable clothes for getting rid of stubborn makeup that you can throw in the wash and reuse.

Step 1: Cleansing Balm

When I have make-up on, I’ll make sure to remove it with a cleansing balm first. I’ve been using the Green Clean balm by Farmacy for a while now but recently also picked up Clean It Zero” by Banila Co. from my trip to Seoul and I’ve really liked it as well.

Cleansing Balms should also be removed with a wash cloth as to not allow the balm to remain on the skin before you continue the routine.

Shop Farmacy Cleansing Balm at Sephora. (Starting at $36)

Step 2: Cleansing Gel

I’ve used a fair bit of cleansing gels but I always seem to come back to the “Special Cleansing Gel” by Dermalogica. It’s simple and gets the job done.

Shop Dermalogica Cleansing Gel at Sephora. (Starting at $42)

Step 3: Microfoliant

I don’t always use the Microfoliant, typically only every other day, but I love the “buffing” feel this gives my skin.

Shop the Daily Microfoliant at Sephora. (Starting at $65)

Step 4: Toner

I was told that I had to pick up these toner pads while I was in Seoul and I’m so glad that I did. These toner pads have really helped with my skin texture and I will definitely be re-purchasing. The different colors are for different skin concerns so you can really find what will work best for you. I can use this on a daily basis, morning and night.

Another toner that I have loved but use only every other day is the “Lotion P50” by Biologique Recherche. I mainly use this one on my nose to help with the pore congestion.

Shop Mediheal Toner Pads on Amazon. ($22)

Step 5: Serum

When this first arrived as a PR package, I didn’t know what to expect but I’m so glad it’s part of my routine because it really helped transform my uneven skin tone. I’ve already hit empty on my first bottle and had a restock ready to go.

Step 6: Creme de la Mer

The final step in my routine is my Creme de la Mer which I’ve been using for years. I’m a firm believer in this product and how it has helped my skin stay looking plump, reducing wrinkles, etc.

OTHER SKINCARE PRODUCTS & TOOLS THAT I LOVE

Depending on my skin’s concerns, I’ll use other products or have a more extended routine. There’s a lot of beauty products out there but keeping my routine fairly simple and light (in my opinion) has been working well for me. Sharing some other notable mentions and other products I love down below. I still have quite a bit of products to try out so I’ll try to update mini reviews if I come across any products that I’ve really been enjoying.
